2 Way Communication Powerpoint

When speaking on interpersonal connection, the sender is able to get adequate feedback regarding the message that they were communicating with the receiver. With the ongoing use of social media, this is available to a greater extent, except everybody can be a sender and a receiver on a grander scale. There is several different messages that are being broad casted to the masses daily, and this makes for more people being involved with sharing and creating messages more than ever. People not only can consume information on social media, but as the PowerPoint stated: everybody is just as able to create, as they are to consume information.

Big players in the game control and fluctuate big major corporations of social media. Google showing to have the most in assets (133 billion), they are the biggest controllers of the social media realm. The information that we put out on social media is in the hands of these big players, meaning that these people hold all the privacy and information given by consumers.

Social media has overall become used for commercial purposes in bigger proportions than anybody could have ever imagined, and how is it going to advance over the years?

  1. Abbie you have summarized the presentation well pointing out that a few large players actually hold the content of billions of contributors. An overwhelming conclusion. Ethics and the law will be playing catch up to the social media revolution for decades!

  2. Great post Abbie, I too worry about privacy concerns thinking about how much information these companies hold. I am also curious how and what is going to change in the coming years... Hopefully more security for users and their private information. With Facebook especially being under fire for privacy controversies, it makes you wonder about how much they really know and how secure their sites are will all of their users information.
